Philippa Rayne - Osteopath

D.O. Registered Osteopath

Philippa was born locally and brought up in a medical family. Her father was a surgeon and her mother a nurse. She has been practising Registered Osteopath for over twenty years in Bampton as well as overseas. For over a decade, until recently, she was a Clinic Tutor and Internal Examiner for final year students on the Osteopathic Degree course at Oxford Brookes University. In 2006, she set up the Bampton Clinic. At the same time Philippa helped to run multidisciplinary workshops with a dressage trainer and pilates instructor, working both with riders and their horses to improve their performances.  Philippa is passionate about her work, treating all ages from babies to the elderly. She is devoted to her “unworking” cocker spaniel, Maude.

Miles Holloway - Osteopath

BSc (Hons) Ost DO Registered Osteopath

Miles graduated from the European School of Osteopathy and set up a clinic in Highworth. He joined The Bampton Clinic in 2012 and since then has developed his skills in osteopathic care for children, while continuing his work treating patients with sporting injuries. As part of his ongoing professional development he completed training in Kinesio Taping for sports and Myofascial acupuncture, which he uses alongside his osteopathic work.

Amy Norman - Osteopath

BSc (Hons) DO MOst Registered Osteopath

Amy Norman graduated from the European School of Osteopathy where she gained her Integrated Masters in Osteopathy. Amy initially trained as a Biomedical Scientist but became an Osteopath so that she could work with people. She has gained diverse clinical experience, especially with amputees, while working within her local G.P.  surgery in Bath. She now works in Hungerford and Bampton and has a special interest in sports injuries. Amy is also qualified in dry needling and Kinesio Taping and treats patients of all ages from babies to the elderly.

Laurence Lemoine - Acupuncturist

BSc (Hons) Lic.Ac MBAcC

Laurence graduated from the College of Chinese Medicine in Reading in 2006 with a BSc (Hons) awarded by Kingston University and since then has been in practice continuously. She initially set up practice in Beaumont Street in Oxford, where she still works, and joined The Bampton Clinic in 2008. Laurence is registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), is fully insured and is bound by strict Codes of Ethics and Practice. She is committed to Continuing Professional Development on a regular basis and has special interests in pain relief, gynaecology and fertility. Laurence is bilingual French/English and has a good knowledge of Spanish.

Tom Jennings - Acupunturist

MAc MBAcC

Tom has been a fully qualified Acupuncturist since 1981, with busy practices in Oxfordshire  and Gloucestershire. He studied at the renowned Leamington Spa College, went on to gain his Masters studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at Reading. Tom’s particular interests are looking at and treating the person as a whole, particularly the psychosocial aspects of pain. He enjoys glider flying, meditation and rugby.

June Brewer - Massage Therapist

Dip ITECH MCThA

June is trained in holistic massage to ITEC Level 3 as well as hot stone massage. This training has enabled her to pursue a career in complementary medicine,  an interest she has had for many years. Her particular interest is stress management and balancing muscle tension. June has come from a background in care, particularly the elderly, with vast experience in chronic pain.

Caroline White - Massage Therapist

Dip ITECH

Caroline is qualified in massage therapy (ITEC level 3) and in deep tissue massage. She is also qualified in reflexology. Bought up locally, she trained initially as an electronics technician in the army, which allowed her to serve abroad and travel extensively. When she left the military, she re-trained as a complementary therapist enabling her to work around the demands of her young family. Caroline has a passion for sports; she is a keen runner and finds time to play as well as umpiring for a local hockey team - The Wychwood Badgers.

Ali McIntosh - Nutrition Consultant

BEd BSc (Hons) ANutr

Ali started working life as a teacher in Tower Hamlets, London. She moved on to specialise in teaching children with profound and multiple learning difficulties in Hounslow, gaining a diploma in Severe Learning Difficulties. Following a move from London Ali enrolled at Oxford Brookes University to study for a BSc in Nutrition graduating as an accredited (www.associationfornutrition.org) Nutritionist with First Class honours. Ali uses her broad experience in teaching and health care to inform and enhance her practice. She is interested in all aspects of Nutrition including food, health, gardening and ecology. She is also keen on swimming, gymming and walking

Fiona Shires - Reflexologist

MAR (BA (Hons) + PGCE)

Fiona has lived in Oxfordshire most of her life and is the daughter of a plastic surgeon. Before graduating from University with a BA in English she worked at the Radcliffe Infirmary for a gastroenterologist. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in complementary medicine as her children grew up. Fiona trained with the Association of Reflexology and qualified in 1998. Fiona has lived in many European countries due to her late husband’s job with Reuters and speaks fluent French and Spanish. On her return from living abroad Fiona trained as a teacher and has recently retired as Headmistress at a local preparatory school. She is now able to focus on her main passion of reflexology at The Bampton Clinic, and has a particular interest in healthy ageing and stress related conditions. Fiona is a proud granny and lives in Carterton with her four terriers. She enjoys walking, skiing, and travelling.

Catherine Wilson - Homeopath

I studied at the Centre for Homeopathic Education at Middlesex University in London, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in 2012. Homeopathy is amazing in the way it can treat physical, mental, and emotional issues with no side effects. It can be used alongside conventional medicine to help alleviate the symptoms of the illness and the side effects of the medication. I have specific interests in “Women’s problems”, behavioural issues in children and teenagers and chronic illnesses such as MS and ME. I practice at the Bampton Clinic and in Witney where I live with my husband and our three sons ranging in age from 12 to 24.

Penelope Ling – Talking Therapist & Hypnotherapist

BA(hons)DHP, CBT(hyp), SFBT(hyp), SFBTSUP, Registered hypnotherapist with AfSFH, NCH, CNHC.

Penelope graduated from the prestigious Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy training in 2007, and since then has been in continuous practice, adding many other skills along the way, including solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, Human Givens, NLP, brainworking recursive therapy BWRT, Mindfulness, nutrition and the latest was integrated medicine from the College of Medicine. She initially worked in Bristol but moved her practice to Oxford in 2012 and she joined the Bampton clinic in 2017. Penelope is registered with the Complementary Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), The association for solution focused hypnotherapy (AfSFH), the National council of hypnotherapy(NCH), BWRT organisation and is a senior associate of the Royal Society of Medicine. She is fully insured and has a DBS check, and her specialist areas are Anxiety, phobias and sports performance.
